ONOMO Inn on the Square is seeking a skilled Maintenance Handyman to join our team

Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, this role is crucial in ensuring the seamless operation and upkeep of our hotel facilities. The ideal candidate will assist in performing general maintenance tasks, keeping our hotel rooms and public spaces in top condition, and contributing to the overall guest experience by ensuring that the property remains clean, safe, and well-maintained.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Assist with general maintenance tasks across the hotel, including plumbing, electrical work, and carpentry.

• Carry out repairs and preventive maintenance on hotel rooms, equipment, and common areas.

• Ensure proper functioning of HVAC systems, lighting, and other facilities-related equipment.

• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and work orders.

• Maintain inventory of tools, supplies, and materials required for maintenance tasks.

• Ensure the hotel complies with all safety and maintenance standards.

• Work closely with the Maintenance Supervisor and team to coordinate daily tasks and schedules.

Qualifications and Competencies required:

• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, and general maintenance.

• Ability to perform routine maintenance tasks efficiently and safely.

• Good communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

• Knowledge of hotel safety and maintenance protocols.

• Prior experience in a maintenance or handyman role is an advantage.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Flexibility and a positive attitude toward all types of maintenance tasks.
