ONOMO Hotel is looking for a talented and passionate Chef de Partie to join our dynamic team in Waterfront. As a Chef de Partie, you will take ownership of a specific section of the kitchen (such as meats, fish, sauces, desserts, or pastries) and ensure all dishes leaving your station meet our high standards of taste, presentation, and quality. You will also support the Head and Sous Chefs by leading, mentoring, and training Commis Chefs and kitchen trainees in your section.


Key Responsibilities Include

Prepare, cook, and present dishes in your designated kitchen section to ONOMO standards

Supervise and train Commis Chefs, apprentices, and interns within your area

Monitor mise en place and ensure readiness for service

Ensure consistency and quality in every dish prepared

Maintain high standards of hygiene, health, and safety

Control inventory and stock levels; communicate orders to the Sous or Head Chef

Assist in the creation and testing of new menu items, plating ideas, and food trends

Monitor waste control and portioning to support food cost objectives

Uphold ONOMO brand values and ensure customer satisfaction through culinary excellence


Qualifications & Competencies Required:

Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or strong Commis Chef ready for the next step (2+ years preferred)

Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, cooking techniques, and safety procedures

Experience or interest in Afro-Fusion or African-inspired cuisine is a strong advantage

Creativity in food styling and presentation

Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Strong team player with leadership abilities

Excellent time-management and communication skills

Formal culinary education or equivalent work experience
