Job Overview:
As a Linen Keeper, you will be directly reporting to the Executive Housekeeper. You will be responsible for managing all hotel linen, ensuring that it is cleaned, processed, and distributed efficiently. Your role is vital in maintaining cleanliness and providing a comfortable experience for our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
•Cleaning & Processing Linen: Handle the cleaning of guest room sheets, towels, restaurant linens (tablecloths and napkins), staff uniforms, and occasionally guests' clothes. Ensure all linens are cleaned to an impeccable standard.
•Linen Inventory Management: Record and process the dirty linen you receive, ensuring proper tracking and transfer of linens for cleaning either in-house or through an external cleaning company.
•Linen Distribution: Organize and manage the internal distribution of linens across various hotel departments, ensuring that each area is properly stocked with clean linens.
•Ironing & Finishing: Organise the ironing of linens when necessary to maintain the highest standards of presentation.
•Stock Monitoring: Regularly monitor linen stock and inform management of any shortages or discrepancies. Ensure that linen is replaced in a timely manner to prevent shortages.
•Guest-Focused Service: Provide service with discretion and respect for guest privacy, ensuring minimal disturbance during linen management.
•Hygiene & Quality Assurance: Ensure that all linen is sorted, replaced, and handled with care, optimising both hygiene and cost-effectiveness.

Qualifications and Competencies
•Experience: At least 2-3 years of experience in a similar position within a hotel environment.
•Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail to ensure linens are cleaned and ironed to an impeccable standard.
•Organizational Skills: Ability to organize linen distribution and monitor stock levels, ensuring no shortages.
•Proactive: The ability to adapt to guest needs and go “above and beyond” to ensure satisfaction.
•Physical Health: In good physical health to manage the physical demands of the role.
•Guest Respect: Discreet, respectful, and always ensuring the privacy and rest of our guests are maintained.
