We are seeking a motivated HR Business Partner to join our growing HR team in Africa.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in HR while supporting our team in all people-related matters. As a HRBP, you will work closely with the Regional HR Manager to provide support to the General Managers in the region and their respective Heads of Departments to help implement HR strategies and contribute to fostering a positive and engaging work environment.
Key Responsibilities include:
- HR Support and Guidance: Provide assistance to the GMs and HODs in addressing day-to-day HR issues and support with people management tasks.
- Recruitment and Onboarding: Assist in the recruitment process, helping to post job ads, coordinate interviews, and ensure a smooth onboarding experience for new employees.
- Employee Engagement: Help in organizing employee engagement activities, ensuring a positive work environment and high levels of employee morale.
- HR Administration: Maintain accurate employee records and assist with administrative tasks such as leave management, attendance tracking, and employee queries.
- Talent Development Support: Support the implementation of training and development programs, helping to track employee skills development and training needs.
- Performance Management Assistance: Assist in the coordination of performance appraisals, ensuring that managers follow up on target setting and feedback processes.
- HR Reporting: Assist with the collection and reporting of HR Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for management.
- Employee Relations Support: Act as a point of contact for employees, addressing their questions or concerns and escalating issues as necessary.
- Compliance: Ensure that all HR processes comply with local labor laws and company policies.
Desired Profile and competencies required:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in an HR or administrative role, preferably in the hospitality or service industry.
- Strong interest in HR, people management, and talent development.
- Basic understanding of the local labor laws and HR practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships at all levels.
- Highly organized, with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks.
- A proactive, solution-oriented approach with a desire to learn and grow in HR.
Fluency in both written and spoken English is essential.
